GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

as at 01.01.2025

PAYMENT & CREDIT TERMS: 

- Proforma on first order, 30 days from date of dispatch thereafter (provided you have not exceeded your allowable credit limit). If you have not purchased from us within the last 12 months you will be required to pay your first re-order on proforma

- Any credit provided is at our sole discretion and any payment history will be taken into consideration. Our standard payment terms are 30 calender days from the date of invoice and unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing, accounts that exceed these terms will be subject to the following actions:

  i)   A late payment fee of ‘statutory interest’ (this is 8% plus the Bank of England base rate for business to business transaction) will be applied to the overdue amount

  ii)  Credit privileges may be temporarily suspended until the account is brought current

  iii) Any further orders will be placed on hold and deprioritised until payment is received in full

  iv) Future transactions may require advance payment

  v)  After 60 days accounts may be forwarded to a collections agency or subject to legal action

Please contact our accounts department immediately if you anticipate difficulties meeting the payment terms.

- Credit is subject to a limit of £1,000 per customer unless specifically agreed in writing

- All goods remain the property of Toasted Crumpet until paid in full

- Goods are supplied at current list prices unless otherwise agreed in writing

- All orders are a firm sale (not on a sale or return basis)

 

VAT: 

- All prices listed on this pricelist exclude VAT. VAT will be added to your invoice as appropriate. Our VAT registration number is GB 297390260

 

MINIMUM ORDERS: 

- Orders consisting of ONLY Stationery & Paper Goods - minimum order £60 

- Homewares ONLY - minimum order £150

- COMBINED stationery & homewares - minimum order £150

 

CARRIAGE LEVELS & SHIPPING: 

- Standard delivery & packaging charge is £10 per shipment

- Free UK Carriage on stationery & paper goods ONLY orders of £120 or more

- Free UK Carriage on COMBINED stationery & homeware and homeware only orders of £250 or more

- All deliveries are tracked so please contact us if you cannot locate your package

 

THE WORLD OF PETER RABBIT COLLECTION:

- Please note that we are only permitted to sell this collection within the following territories: United Kingdom, Ireland, Switzerland. If you are outside of these territories but are interested in stocking the range then please do get in touch and we can make enquiries. 

- In addition, cards or giftwrap from this collection can only be ordered by our stockists alongside The World of Peter Rabbit gifting range. Strictly any orders that contain card or gift wrap from this collection that do not include the gifting lines will therefore not be accepted.

 

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:

- Proforma only unless otherwise agreed in writing

- Once your order has been placed, we will provide you with a shipping quote which will be added to your invoice

- You are responsible for paying any tariffs, taxes and related charges

 

LEAD TIMES: 

- When in stock, card orders are typically dispatched within 1 week; gift orders up to 4 weeks

- For any items that are out of stock, general lead times are: Greetings Cards, Prints & Gift Wrap up to 2 weeks; Stationery up to 4 weeks; Fabric Lines & Tableware up to 6 weeks; Fine Bone China, Soaps, Candles & Home Fragrance and Hand Creams up to 8 weeks

 

AMENDMENTS & CANCELLATIONS: 

- Once your order is placed it will be confirmed via email from Toasted Crumpet. It may be possible to amend/cancel, however please contact us as soon as possible on 01372 383436 or email [email protected] to discuss any changes as amendments may delay the production/dispatch times

 

RETURNS & FAULTY/DAMAGED GOODS: 

- We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. If however, any items do not meet your expectations, please contact us upon receipt and we will do our best to rectify the situation. Every effort is made to make sure your goods arrive in perfect condition

- Please check delivery contents as soon as possible after delivery. In the unlikely event of your goods being damaged or missing in transit, please report any issues to us within 5 days

 

STOCKIST POLICY: 

- The acceptance of a stockist is at our discretion and where necessary will be made in consultation with our agent representatives for your area given their expert local knowledge. We are careful to ensure that we have only one stockist per postcode area. However, particularly for large postcode areas, we may also take into consideration whether there are multiple distinct shopping areas within the postcode and the ranges stocked. If distance permits then we will allow additional stockists per postcode. The aim of this policy is to protect your sales from close competition, however if you do ever have any concerns then please do not hesitate to get in touch

- To retain your trade account we require the following criteria to be met:

   i)   A minimum of 3 orders per year

   ii)  A minimum total spend of £600 per year

   iii) Stockists are only authorised to sell via their own website and/or physical store(s) that we have authorised. 

 We do not permit sale of our goods via third party websites including, but not limited to, Ebay, Amazon and Etsy, unless authorised by us in writing

 

BACK ORDERS: 

- For UK dispatches, if any items are out of stock at the date of dispatch, these will be raised as a back order if the value of these items total £50 (or over). Once all items are back in stock your back order will be dispatched to you carriage free

- If the value of your out of stock items is less than £50, these will not be raised as a back order, however we will notify you of these items and will kindly ask you to add these to your next order via our trade website. If you would prefer fo  us to create a back order for these items then contact [email protected] to let us know. Please note that in this instance there will be a £5 automatic carriage charge added to your back order invoice
